PMI and health cash plans

Health Cash Plan CoverThe difference between PMI and health cash plans

PMI – or private medical insurance – is different to health cash plan insurance. Often people will have both types of cover to give themselves comprehensive healthcare protection.

While health cash plans typically cover day to day healthcare costs (such as dentists, optical and other fees), private medical insurance policies cover the ‘bigger’ costs, such as surgery, x-rays, scans, hospital and nursing costs etc that you may have a long wait for on the NHS.

The good news is that both these types of health cover are affordable, often offering different levels of cover within the product, so they can be tailored to meet your needs as well as your budget.
